Toronto, ON – Unlovable ESC (known colloquially as “The Unlovables”) today announced the formation of a new electronic sports club with the unveiling of its Quake Champions and PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds teams. With a roster stacked with talent from many different games, Unlovable ESC looks to compete at the highest level of esports in Quake Champions, PUBG, and beyond.
“We're super excited to finally reveal the team and brand we've worked so hard to assemble,” said Unlovable ESC player-owner Jake “mojo” Valianes. “The roster we have is a group of up and coming players with an immense amount of natural talent. Every single player on this team is capable of being the best in the world at any game they play, and we look forward to conquering the world of Quake Champions, Battlegrounds, and any other games we play in the future.”
Quake Champions team “I Totem Teles” adds esports veteran “mojo” in a coaching role to help bring an already surging team to the next level. His 15 years of pro gaming experience is sure to bring the Quake World Championship and Dreamhack Denver qualifying team to new heights. Joining them is a team of battle royale newcomers with an immense amount of esports experience. “Our PUBG team might be new to the world of BR, but they undoubtedly make up that lack of experience with pure talent and competitive drive,” said Valianes. “With enough hard work and dedication, we have no doubts that this team will rise to the occasion and one day compete with the best.”

The Unlovables can be seen this weekend competing in the Dreamhack Denver Quake Champions tournament, as well as IEM Oakland qualifiers (PUBG), Dreamhack Sweden qualifiers (QC) and many more events to come.

About The Quake Champions team
The team formerly known as “I Totem Teles” consists of members Ken “ckap” Miller, Ian “botmode” DeMartinis, Patrick “sen” Landry and Zachary “Kane” Atwood. The team qualified and competed in the 2017 Quake World Championships, and has qualified for the upcoming Dreamhack Denver event by coming top 2 in the aforementioned qualifiers.
About Jake “mojo” Valianes
Valianes brings his 15 years of esports experience to a leadership role for the first time. He has competed in a wide variety of games across many different genres, such as the original Call of Duty, Quake 4, FIFA, Trackmania, and more. He was a finalist on the CPL World Tour in 2005 for Painkiller, and has represented Canada on the international stage three times, once at WCG in 2004, and twice at ESWC in 2007 and 2008.
